Security & privacy

Your factories, orders, and
reports stay yours.

Trackports holds sensitive things: who makes what for you, at what volumes, and the test reports behind it. It's built so none of that leaks between factories, and none of it trains AI.

How we protect your data

Factories are walled off

A factory account can only ever see its own orders. We check that on our side — the browser never gets to decide.

Documents stay private

Test reports go straight into private storage that only signed-in, authorized people can open.

AI keeps no copy

Your reports live privately in your account. The AI reads one to give you an answer and keeps nothing of its own — and they never train AI.

Internal stays internal

Your private notes, your CPSC contact, and your broker assignments are never shown to factories.

The right access

Everyone gets what their job needs. Look-only people can't change anything, and factories can't approve or file.

Everything is recorded

Edits, reviews, rejections, approvals, and filings all leave a record — who did it, and when.

How separation works

One factory can't reach another's work.

When a factory opens their orders or saves a change, we look up who they are from their sign-in — not from anything they could type or tamper with — and only ever show them their own.

  • Identity comes from the sign-in, so it can't be faked.
  • There's nothing to guess — no supplier names in links to poke at.
  • Anything else is simply refused, every time.

Security FAQ

No. Every screen and every save is limited to the factory that's signed in, checked on our side. There's nothing in a link for someone to change to reach another factory's work.
No. Reports are read to produce an answer and then discarded. They aren't stored by the AI and are never used to train any model.
In private storage. Uploading and opening a report happens through short-lived, single-use links, so files aren't sitting somewhere they could be stumbled upon.
No. Every import is all-or-nothing, so you never end up with half a file loaded. Each file is checked first, and if one would delete an unusual number of orders it's stopped and held for a person to look at — the automatic nightly run can never push past that. You get an email when that happens.
Only your own reviewers, and only after confirming they're authorized to certify it. Factories can never certify on your behalf, and brokers can only reference a finished certificate at the port — they can't create or change one.
